The peaks of the Velebit mountain range, stretching along the sea for 145 km, soar high above the Adriatic. Paklenica National Park, which occupies 36 square kilometers, unites two deep gorges. These karst rocks with a wide choice of routes are one of the best places in Europe for rock climbing. Routes of varying difficulty, including 72 short sports routes and 250 long ones, are waiting for you on strong and sometimes sharp limestone rocks.
The most technical climbers go to the Anitsa Kuk rock, along which 100 routes climb to a height of 350 m. Almost all routes are equipped with pins. In April, an international high-speed climbing competition is held here.
