The Alley of Writers in the unique Cyrillic Courtyard complex in the ancient capital of Bulgaria, Plisk, has been enriched with the faces of eight more world-famous creators who wrote in Cyrillic, says the National Tourist Office of Bulgaria in Russia.<\/p>\n
After the opening ceremony of monuments to Bulgarian writers Yordan Yovkov and Dora Gabe, the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Varna Vladimir Klimanov opened a monument to the Russian classics – Leo Tolstoy, Alexander Griboyedov, Ilya Ilf and Evgeny Petrov, Marina Tsvetaeva, Anton Chekhov and Ivan Krylov.<\/p>\n
The Alley takes the visitors of the Yard into the vast world of literary creativity, here they can feel their sincerity and learn more about the history of the peoples who wrote and write in Cyrillic,” Karen Aleksanyan, the creator of the Cyrillic Yard, told Focus agency in an interview.<\/p>\n
The authors of eight pedestals received certificates from the Association of Bulgarians in the World. Some of them were present at the ceremony.<\/p>\n
I am glad that I had the opportunity to take part in this good cause and I am very pleased to be here,” said the author of the sculpture to Ivan Krylov, one of the most talented young Russian sculptors Alan Kaziev.<\/p>\n
