Located 800 km north of Perth, Shark Bay is a shallow lagoon with an area of 13,500 sq. km, incredibly rich in marine resources. Here are the world’s most extensive seagrass meadows and countless sea turtles, dolphins and whales. Peaceful 300-kilogram dugongs – creatures of which legends are composed – live in large groups. About 10,000 individuals gather along the coast in September to give birth to cubs.<\/p>\n
On land, get ready for an adventure by going north to the Francois Peron National Park. Here you can set up a camp and watch wild animals. In August and September, many of the 700 species of wild flowers in the region bloom.<\/p>\n
