Where to go? Venice. Pearl City

Venice. Pearl City

Venice

Legend has it that Venice appeared in 421 from the foam of the sea. Other sources say that the history of Venice begins in 452: at a time when the population of the city of Aquileia was hiding from the Huns of Attila on the islands. But most likely, the very first settlements appeared in 568 at the time when the invasion of the Lombards happened. In any case, this date is mentioned in historical reference books.

A pearl city, a legend city, a dream city, a city in which memories live. It is not in vain that Venice is called one of the most romantic cities in the world. He dreams of visiting all the couples in love on the planet. Venice, which we know now, became such by 810, now the central islands of the Riva Alto lagoon were being developed, which after some time grew into Rialto. At the same time, the inhabitants began to actively build ships. Not so long left to wait, Venetian merchants began to develop trade in the world.

At least by one curious historical fact it is possible to draw conclusions about the Venetian merchants: wine was sold in St. Mark’s Square under the bell tower because the bell tower cast a shadow.

And so that the wine would not spoil, people moved with the barrel all the time so as to be constantly in the shade. So Venice is not only gondolas and canals, but also quite quirky entrepreneurs, about whom there are legends to this day. And now Venice is growing and thriving every day. More and more people come to me. Here you can visit every fascinating excursion, of course, find a kind Russian-speaking guide in Venice. This is a very unusual and unforgettable place that is worth a visit!
