Where to go? Go around Mount Kailas

Go around Mount Kailas

The route is not easy. Some pass it in one day, but we recommend setting aside four days. The most religious pilgrims walk the road in this way: they lie down on the ground, get up, go to the place where their hands were, and lie down again, and then repeat everything.

The 52-kilometer kora (circle) around Mount Kailas (6714 m) is one of the most important pilgrimage routes in Asia, revered by Hindus, Buddhists, followers of the Bon cult and Jainism. Tibetan Buddhists believe that one circle cleanses from the sins of one life, and 108 circles give nirvana in this life.

The village of Darchen (at an altitude of 4600 m) is the starting point of the crust. From here you will go to the base of Mount Kailas, crossing the pass at an altitude of 5630 m.
